Ponce City Market, Transforming the Landscape

January 05, 2017

In the center of Atlanta is Ponce City Market, home to an impressive collection of restaurants, shops, and artisan workshops. Situated in the historic Sears, Roebuck & Co building, it is the city’s largest and most attractive adaptive reuse project. While visiting, check out these three highlights: The Central Food Market, City Winery, and Citizen Supply store. At the heart of PCM is the vibrant Central Food Market, with James Beard Award winning chefs likes Anne Quatrano, Linton Hopkins, and Sean Brock there is something to satisfy every foodies palette. Pick from an array of choices ranging from oysters, to burgers, to Spanish style sandwiches. Our favorite is H&F Burger for what locals considers to be the most famous burger in Atlanta. City Winery is a world class concert venue and restaurant. On January 21st they are hosting Atlanta Winter Wine Fest with over 50 wines to taste, live music, and a souvenir tasting glass. Citizen Supply Store is one of the most innovative spaces, where you can watch artisans making leather wallets, backpacks, shoes, and more. Utilize the chic wooden ping pong table on the second floor for a mid afternoon session.

Atlanta Winter Wine Fest, January 21st, 12pm-4pm. Tickets are $45 advance, $50 after January 12th or $60 day of the event. Admission includes entry, souvenir wine glass, and all wine and beer samples.
